Vancouver, Canada

So, as I’ve posted before, I’m preparing to go on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints soon. Just yesterday, I recieved my call letter.

Yep… Vancouver, Canada!! And get this – it’s Spanish speaking. Who knew? So I’ll be leaving offically on October 21, 2009 for the Provo, Utah Missionary Training Center. Two years in Canada, woot!!

I strongly encourage you all to visit the Aang Ain’t White website and movement. Good as this trailer looks, there are still so many horrible casting decisions that have been made that we should not just sit quietly and take it. But I do admit it looks very good.

Quick Rant

Alright, let’s see, how to word this? Oh, yeah… THEY DON’T HAVE A SINGLE ASIAN CAST FOR AVATAR. Yep, that sounds about right. My FAVORITE character, Uncle Iroh, was just cast by this thin IRANIAN man. That is an OUTRAGE!! Uncle Iroh is definitely of a strong Asian descent, and he’s, well, not thin! Oh, and Ozai? A New Zealander. Commander Zhao? He’s Indian. I don’t see a SINGLE Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or even Pacific Islander for crying out loud! THERE AREN’T A MILLION MIDDLE EASTERNERS IN AVATER!! GAH!!!!
